DEAP Capital Management & Trust Plc (DEAPCAPITAL) is a public limited Company with Authorized Share Capital of N1.5 billion and a Paid –Up Capital of N750 million.
The Company has an asset base of over N4 billion with Funds Under Management in excess of over N3 billion. It was incorporated on June 5, 2002 and is registered with The Securities and Exchange Commission as Funds/Portfolio Manager.
The core business of DEAP is Funds/ Portfolio Management and Financial Advisory Services for high net worth individuals and institutions. DEAP CAPITAL is also licensed by the Securities & Exchange Commission to perform the functions of an Issuing House in the Nigerian Capital Market. DEAP CAPITAL is owned by over 9,529 distinguished Nigerians and one Institutional Investor. |

The objective of DEAP is to exploit our global experience of over 71 years experience in investment banking/capital market to manage funds specifically tailored to meet the investment requirements of our clients by dealing actively in the capital market and to achieve satisfactory returns to our investors and reward our staff appropriately.
DEAP is a hybrid financial institution operating in the main as a Fund Management company utilizing own resources together with other investors’ funds to trade actively in the 20 best companies quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. At the same time, funds invested with DEAP by some of its Clients for funding of Oil & Gas Contracts are managed professionally through its associate company – DVCF Oil & Gas Plc. At the conclusion of the business cycle, profits made are shared between providers of Funds and DEAP CAPITAL, the Fund Manager.
We reward investors and our Shareholders from profit made. DEAP CAPITAL is able to offer higher returns because it invests solely in the best 20 Companies listed on the Stock Exchange which it monitors constantly taking advantage of the strategic alliance with Resort Securities & Trust Limited the stock broking firm that carries out its mandates on Stock Trading.
Our target market is clearly segmented to be the high net-worth individuals and institutions capable of investing a minimum of one million Naira and above for a minimum of 180 days.
There are observed inadequacies in the way and manner these investors have been treated.
Most times they are cordially communicated to at the point of placement and rollovers. These investors, though busy pursuing their careers, cherish warm and intimate relationships that will afford them cross sharing of ideas concerning investment prospects and contemporary issues, and most importantly to build trust/ sustained confidence to assign additional responsibilities to their fund managers.
DEAP CAPITAL is committed to creating a highly interactive relationship and enabling environment that encourages investors to:

He is a fellow of both institute of Administration of Nigeria & Chartered Institute of Personnel Management. A member of Institute of Management, Institute of public Relations of Nigeria and Associate member of Industrial relations.
He has acquired over 20 year’s experience in industrial and human capital management in such institutions as PRESCO Nig. Ltd, ROCHE Nig., UAC foods, ONWARD PAPER MILL, etc.
He is currently in charge of Human resource in DEAP CAPITAL. |

| Egbe James (Group Head, Risk Management and Control) |

James Egbe is a seasoned and versatile professional with over 19 years work experience in Audit, Banking, Stockbroking, Asset Management, Consulting and Financial Advisory Services. A Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate Chartered Stockbroker (ACS) and also an Authorised Dealing Clerk of The Nigerian Stock Exchange. He is an Associate Member of Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM). In addition, he has MBA in Banking & Finance obtained from ESUT Business School Lagos and a product of Yaba College of Technology Yaba Lagos where he obtained HND in Accountancy at Upper Credit level. Some of his awards include UBA GMD award for best strategic suggestion for the newly merged bank. Also at KPMG due to his outstanding performance was seconded to KPMG Paris France to work before he returned to Nigeria. James Egbe is the Group Head, Risk Management and Control of DEAP, with the mandate to establish and implement Enterprise Risk Management framework in line with best practice. |

Obabire Babatunde Akintayo (Group IT Manager) |

Akintayo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (2004). He is a certified Cisco Network Associate Professional (2005) and holds Microsoft Certifications (2005) with many years of working experience. He has attended several trianing courses both within and outside Nigeria. he joined BroadBand Technologies in 2002 where he trained and worked as a Network Engineer and gathered experience in deploying various LAN and WAN Technologies for banks and other industries. As a System and Network Administrator, he rose to the position of Assistant HOD IT department with Ciscon Nigeria Limited where he grew a team of seven engineers focussed on implementing solutions in network connectivity, data security, unified communications, applications and end to end support. He later moved to Aspin International as the IT Lead Engineer. Mr Obabire is currently the Group IT mnager of DEAP Capital Management and Trust Plc. |

Abdul holds a B.Sc degree in Banking and Finance from University of Maiduguri (1992) and is an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. She currently serves in the Corporate Finance Department of DEAP CAPITAL where she handles Capital market Issues, Mergers and Company restructuring among others. |

1. Resort Securities & Trust Limited
Resort Securities & Trust Limited is a stock broking firm which is a subsidiary of DEAP Capital Management & Trust Limited. With over 10 years in rendering brokerage services to investors in the Nigerian Capital Market, the Company has teamed up with DEAP under a strategic alliance to improve the quality of its services to its numerous clients.
2. Resort Savings & Loans Plc (RSL)
RSL is a mortgage Banking Company where DEAP has 60m shares out of the 184m paid up capital of the Company. The core business of the Company is provision of “affordable housing” for the working population of the Nigerian economy through the mobilization of deposits and other funds from the financial system.
3. DVCF Oil & Gas Plc
DEAP is registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission as a Venture Capital Fund Manager. The venture fund activity is targeted at the Oil & Gas Sector of the economy and DVCF has recently been incorporated to take charge of this function which used to be managed in a department in DEAP prior to 2006. DVCF provides debt or equity financing to indigenous operators in the sector as well as project management services.
4. ENTER S.P. Inc.
DEAP CAPITAL has an MOU with ENTER S.P Inc, based in Houston, Texas, U.S.A, under which DEAPCAPITAL represents the company in Nigeria as their project management agent for dollar denominated contracts in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria funded by the company on behalf of DEAP CAPITAL’s clients in Nigeria who are Indigenous companies. The proceeds of such contracts are paid partly in foreign currency (70%) and partly in Naira (30%). ENTER S.P. Inc. receives the foreign Currency component and recoups the principal investments and interest and remits the net profit to DEAP CAPITAL’s client in Nigeria. ENTER S.P. Inc. is owned by 10 shareholders, amongst who are Chief Sylvanus Ezendu, Emmanuel Ugboh and Anthony Eze who also serve as directors in DEAP CAPITAL and ENTER S.P. Inc. |
